BioOh dear, an "about me." I'm not too good at these, especially when they come after a big list of things I'm interested in. Is it really that tough to take my interests and my journal entries and piece them together into a rough illustration of what I'm about? Effort, people.

I started this journal because it seemed like a good thing to do at the time. I'd like to meet more people in EMS and other medical sorts of programs. I like coffee and dark humor and people that don't mind when I'm sarcastic to them. My favorite song is Expresso Love by Dire Straits. I was born in Houston, under Cancer, as an irritatingly pale only child. I think that those scenes in Family Guy where the vaudeville actor jumps through a hoop and falls flat on his face is the second funniest thing you could ever hope to see (the funniest thing is Steve Martin's "clamp on my head" monologue from SNL, with the cowbell skit and the celebrity Jeopardy sketches coming in a close third and fourth, respectively). I want Annie Lennox's "Into The West" or Loreena McKennitt's "Night Ride Across The Caucasus" played at my funeral...maybe both, but with luck nobody will have to make that decision for many years. I have a difficult time opening up to people, which is why this "about me" is full of bullshit "snapshots" of my personality instead of actual information. I smile and wave at little kids if they smile at me first. I tend to over-analyze things. I speak in non-sequiturs, and looking back on what I've just written it would appear that I write in them, too.
I'm also occasionally lazy, as evidenced by the fact that the above writing appears, with minor alterations, on several different websites. Oops.
